Rain today

Heck, not "needing" a gun has never been a legitimate reason to not buy one. IMHO. :)

Just think of it as pissing off a bunch of liberals whenever you buy one, and it makes the process a whole lot easier to do.

I believe there is a gun show at the fairgrounds mid September. I wouldn't mind pissing off a liberal or two then.

I'm ready for another C6 Vette if gas prices can come back to around $3 a gal for prem. I would never touch another C7 with the A8 trans.

Well, my gun locker is full and I have a closet full of ammo so it would be hard to justify buying more really. Although I would love to have any Colt pythons! i wouldn't even shoot it, I just would love to look at it! I have several guns now that I bought new and haven't ever fired. Probably won't either. And with the price of ammo these days.....:shrug01:

I collected Pythons for a while. Had 37 of them at one time, before I sold off most of them. Had some real collectibles in that batch. Even had one chambered in .41 mag. Also had about all of the scoped limited edition versions, too. Actually had an engraved BATF limited edition in a glass and wood case.

Also sold off quite a few of my foreign made "assault" rifles too. Some of them I will probably never ever see again, much less see one for sale.

Had two of these Sig AMTs at the time.

Used the money to get the garage built and also purchased the C6 Z06 while the blue vette was being hacked on by a couple of boneheads (IMHO) pretending to be vette techs.

I don't see many revolvers anymore. Back in the 80's that's all that law enforcement used to carry. I think when the FBI had that shootout in Miami in 86 everybody reevaluated what we needed to carry to go head to head with the bad guys.

There was a period of time when movies and TV shows tried to depict only bad guys using semi-auto handguns, and the good guys (cops) using revolvers.

Anyway, we got 1.51" of rain today. We have all sorts of mushrooms coming up everywhere.

Dust has been bad this summer and cuts down on rain and tropical action.

Looks like a tropical disturbance developing in the western Atlantic, but forecast to swing northward and not threaten any land masses.

Not expecting much, if any rain for today.

Total accumulated rain for August, 2022 = 8.16 inches

Total for 2022, so far = 62.45 inches.

We ran into some pretty heavy thunderstorms today coming up from Lakeland on 75 and got some good showers up here in Georgia too. Ran into Love Bugs all the way up from Orlando too.

Yeah, been seeing love bugs around here the past several days.

Haven't had the vette out in ages, though. Been raining too much, and the dirt road becomes muddy, so I haven't been able to hit upon a day when I felt like driving it and the road was OK for it. Plus after my stent insertions in my heart, I don't think I would have been able to shift with that right arm having that compromised artery trying to heal up.

I probably should take it out just to burn up the old gasoline and refresh it with new. But the new gasoline is going to be a LOT more expensive than when I last got it.

Just be thankful we can still get gas! If the liberals keep on they'll have that outlawed by 2035 too!

The liberals won't be happy until their insane demands put us all into living in caves eating weeds. Then they will be blaming Trump for it.

Yeah, I wonder what they would be doing if they didn't have Trump to hate on.

Looks like we had 2.35 inches here yesterday but I drove back up from Tallahassee this afternoon (had to get some tires put on my Dually) and it seriously poured up here! I mean 35 mph poured! I'll see what the amount is tomorrow when they update iweathernet.com, must be over 3 inches!

Had 9.05" for Aug so the last few days saved me.

Got .15" Fri and .60" Sat. About 2 more weeks and it starts to slow way down.
