Rain today

Heading south from Massachusetts on the 26th. Been raining almost every other day since November. If we get to Dunedin, and it's raining..................... MY WIFE'S GONNA BE PISSED!!!!! LMAO!

But at least it should be a relatively WARM rain.......... :hehehe:

With the exception of a couple of days, it hasn't been too cold up here. As a matter of fact, I remember at least once in the past 2 months where it was warmer here than in Dunedin. Admittedly, it didn't stay that way for long, but overall, it's been mild so far. 3 more days to go, and I'll probably be freezing my butt off before we leave. Old Man Winter gotta get in his licks while he can..........

Well, the first day of Winter was this past Friday, so Spring is on the way!

I can almost feel the days getting longer already....

Rained a LOT starting in the afternoon and is still raining HARD right now. Wish my rain gauge was working. I thought I had fixed it, but apparently not. Got to 0.08 inch and stuck there all day long.

Our road was real bumpy from the last rain we got, so it's probably going to be REAL bad for a while after this one. I expect some mud boggers will be trying out the road over the weekend.

It rained from the time I crossed into Florida on 95 (about 11:30) until we were crossing the state on RT-4 around Orlando (about 3:30). Mostly light continual rain, but with occasional downpours from 1 to 15 minutes or so. Made for some lousy driving.......!

Haven't had much rain in Ft Myers except a few rainy nights .Its been that way for the past four months .

We returned to Maine for Christmas which was a little chilly at -15 but no snow .Went for about a 20 mile ride in the vett

-15, a little chilly..... :lmao:

I think I got my rain gauge working. Had to clean some sand out of it again. So I put it on a flat piece of styrofoam to try to keep sand from splashing up into it during heavy rains. Seems to be working. Got 0.93 inch of rain so far today. Maybe I should put a post in the ground and mount it on top of that.

Might as well put the vettes in mothballs. Road never got smoothed out since the last big rain storm we had and even a friend who stopped over here yesterday in his pickup truck commented that the road was murder driving on. I don't imagine the rain today is going to make matters any better. Not for a while, anyway.

Yeah, looks like rain on the way here by this evening. Pretty windy. Had to clean up some tree branches laying in the driveway.

Low temps overnight starting Thursday night and extending through the weekend.

People keep on talking about taking all these expensive and painful measures to try to combat "global warming". I don't see the need. Now if they were talking about "global burning", well yeah, then you got something to be worried about.

We got 1.28 inches of rain here. Once it started raining, it seemed like it was never going to stop. Heard a few rumbles of thunder, but nothing sounded close.

Now come clear and cooler weather will be setting in. Low 30s overnights.

Hmm, the forecast for Tuesday night is rain, with a low temp of 28 degrees.

What is wrong with that picture?

Yeah, and that snow shovel I brought down when we moved from Maryland might come in handy on Wednesday. :dead:
