Rain today

We are pretty much just getting sprinkles here lately. 0.10" on 07/04, 0.12" on 07/05, then a little bit more at 0.37" on 07/06.

Just enough to keep the humidity high.

The "feels like" high temp over the last week reached 124.4 degrees at one point. :dead:

0.42" more rain today.

Had to set up a couple of mosquito magnets. They apparently are liking this wetter weather. :(

Just to catch up. Had 0.26" of rain on 07/12 and then another 0.78" on 07/13.

Got a little sprinkle today, but just barely registered on the rain gauge. Just pushed the humidity up to 90%.

We had to go to Ohio Sunday and pick up our new Peterbilt 579. Weather was good going up but when we came down through Kentucky on Monday it was pouring rain and lightning all around! This went on for miles! Lots of trees down and lots of cars in the ditches!

Really not sure how much rain we got today, but the weather station is showing 0.42". Reason I am not sure is because Connie and I went out to run some errands, and on the way back a hellaceous storm came through. Knocked down limbs from the high winds, lightning flashing all around and VERY heavy rains. And when we got back home, the power was out. I don't know how much rain fell after the power went out. Power was out till around 9:30pm or so. So that was a good 6 hours.

Had to take a chain saw out to the driveway to cut a large pine tree limb that fell across it into chunks I could move out of the way. I have been thinking about buying a tractor, and something like that sure would have been handy right then and there.

No rain today.

Rain for July, 2023 = 6.70"

Total rain, so far, for 2023 = 38.14"
