Santa Claus wish list....

OK, in case no one has noticed, Christmas is right around the corner. If you are wanting your significant other to be able to order you something for your vette, you need to spit it out what you are hoping for, and this will be the place to do it. You only have about a week to order something if you want it delivered in time.

If you all are like me, my wife always complains that she doesn't have a clue about what to get me for Christmas. Everything I am interested in is rather technical, and she doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of just figuring out on her own and ordering the right part for me.

So lay your Christmas wish list out here, and casually mention to the SO about this really cool thread Rich Z started on the site.

Oh and make it easy on them. Be real SPECIFIC about what you want, state the company, catalog page number, and item number. And if there are any other details, put them in writing too. Let's make this a Corvette Christmas this year!

Gentlemen? You have the floor..... :IThankYou:

Ok Rich, I see that you cannot sleep either!

A Christmas wish list, let's see....

Now you did say WISH list, so here are a few items I would love to have:

1. A four post lift for the garage in Florida.

2. Garage cabinetry and work bench. :yesnod:

3. With the lift, I could handle another Vette, ...say a C6 Z06. :hurray:

4. Or, if that is a little over the top, how about an '04 Z06 Z16. :cool3:

5. Or, a '63 Grand Sport Replica with a C4 suspension and a Z06 driveline! :peelout 1:

6. Hey, I got it! How about a detailing service for the Vettes that uses big boobed women that wash the cars like the girl in the old movie Cool Hand Luke!?!? :crazy03: :NoNo: :hide: :exactly: :comp1:

Well, you did say it was a wish list! :shrug01:

You Rich's don't want much, do you? :hehehe:

You know how my wife handles Christmas? Buy what you want, then I'll give it to you for Christmas. Although this year, she bought a few garage cabinets from Lowe's. Nothing expensive, just enough to clean it up.

Madn3ss,

All of those items are realistic given the negotiating ability with the other half and a few extra dollars. Well, maybe all except the detail service!

Dear SO or Santa,

I would like 2 leather sport seats wrapped in a black C5!!! :dancer01:

is that to much to ask for!?!?!

With the daughter getting married next February, the list is short. We decided on giving each other a cruise to the Panama Canal for some R & R, leaving on the 12th getting back on the 22nd.

Rich I do like item 4 on your list...:D

Well, I don't have a SO:nonod: but if Santa should happen to lay his hands on a '69 ZL1 for me that would be OK.:yesnod:

Mark, you have great taste in Corvettes. You have picked the rarest production Vette made, if you want to call 2 units (there is some talk about a third unit that has now been documented) a production run. As you can see by my avatar, '69 big blocks are a passion of mine as well!

Not much I want for the '04. I would like to do the LS1 edit after it's out of warranty. Also, darker window tinting. Not planning any other mods at this time.
The husband has no problem getting me stuff for the vette for christmas. Over the years he has given me an exhaust system, a tool chest, an air compressor, all the usual stuff from the catalogs...shirts, watches, jewelry, etc.

I was hoping to have a set of vette keys for a C6 under the tree for Connie, but I'm having a devil of a time getting dealers to even reply to my emails. I guess they must be overwhelmed with business and can't take the time to make me an offer..... :shrug01: Oh well.....

Wow Rich!
You've still got plenty of time to get those keys wrapped in a huge box for her to open. Have you found one in particular you want for her?? Oh, it's so exciting!!!

Well we were looking at an '05 LMB here locally, but there were too many scratches on it and some other issues that the dealer didn't want to deal with to seal the deal. Price was decent (for a 21,000 mile car), but not THAT good that I wanted to take on some headaches. Connie got tired of them before I did, though.

So I'm back to square one. Sent out some emails to some of the bigger dealers who don't mind dealing out of state, apparently, with a list of the specs we are looking for. So far NONE have replied.

We also found a few C5s in spiral gray that she liked, and I sent off emails to them as well. NONE replied! :banghead:

Maybe no one told those bozos that if you want to sell on the internet, email is part and parcel with that arrangement...... :crazy03:

I guess we'll just have to see what happens. We certainly don't NEED another vette, so this isn't all that pressing. But still.........

Don't know if you've tried Maxie Price in Ga. I bought my '04 new from Monica. Flew up and drove it home. Don't know how they deal in the used car market but I had no complaints about the deal on mine. Here's link to her used cars and her homepage:

I bought my 01 Z06 from them sight unseen over the phone. Great place to deal with, and they are the largest Corvette retailer in the world. My salesperson's name was Harry Boyer. Give him a call, tell him what you want, fly up drive home.

I've emailed Kerbeck, but haven't gotten a reply. I did find a new '07 Silver automatic trans, base 1LT options for $40.5K at another dealer. That price seems pretty decent to me....
