St. Augustine 2008?

Well, sorry Ray. We should have known Murphy's Law was going to get us. And now take you down with us. :nonod:

The forecast NOW for St. Augustine is 80 percent chance of thunderstorms on Wednesday, and 60 percent on Thursday. :banghead::banghead:

I'm bringing TWO books to read........ :shrug01:

You know? It's St.Augustine, and old home B & B, and not all that far from the water:thumbsup: Rain be damned,...how bad can it be?

Go have a great time:thumbsup::dancer01:

Have fun everyone. If you haven't eaten at Hooked on Harry's, try it out. I think you'll all like it ALOT!!!! Enjoy. :thumbsup:

Connie and I just got back home a couple of hours ago. My laptop died on the way home, so we missed a turn and didn't see the "shortcut" we needed to take with the GPS down. Connie swears it is just her natural ability to destroy computers at work......

We had a GREAT time with Ray and Angel being at the Inn. The rain pretty held off until the later afternoon hours, so we got a lot of stuff done before that happened. Matter of fact, it probably was a GOOD thing, because it gave us an excuse to just go back to the inn and relax and do nothing at all but talk away into the night. That and digest the meal we just had each afternoon.

All in all it was a very enjoyable time. Hope to be done again as soon as well can. Well, maybe get in a trip to Amelia Island first..... :hehehe:

Anyway, thanks for spending the time with us in St. Augustine, Ray and Angel. We really appreciate your friendship.

No matter how many times we've been to St Augustine in the past, We just can't seem to get bored of it :yesnod:.

We had a Great time as well Rich. The weather was just fine and the company was absolutely fabulous. And like you, we're looking forward to our trip to Amelia Island ..Hopefully soon! :dancer01:.

BTW, Many thanks to Lynn and her staff, who as usual made our stay at the Inn a Wonderful experience!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

My only regret was that I didn't get to see her dishwasher do it's thing.:hehehe:

OK.......is it time to revive this thread for the festivities this year?
I was thinking about taking Dotty to St. Augustine this October
when we are back in Florida and I was looking thru the posts to find
places to stay at and ran across this thread. MAN, I would LOVE to
head out to St. Augustine just knowing that there would be friends from
CorvetteFlorida there! So, what say you all? Will there be another chapter
of the annual CorvetteFlorida trip to St. Augustine this year? Looks like
Dotty and I will be there from about Sunday the 18th thru Monday the 26th.
Any time during that week or the weekend of the 23, 24, 25 would be great
for us. Otherwise, we'll just hafta suck it up and go by ourselves. That is......
provided that the Vette starts :eek:! Haven't seen it since MARCH :ack2:

That could happen! October is using OK with us, and we're DYING to get out of here and head out somewhere. And we always love a good reason to go to St. Augustine. Let's start making plans....

Hey Andy and Dotty,

Looking forward to your return to Florida and hoping we can meet you in St. Augustine. It is such a great place and we always have such fun there. It would be really fun if our original tour guides, Ray and Angel, could be there. Maybe we can make that happen also. I will start packing now and be ready whenever you are.

Hiya Connie! Like I mentioned in the post above, we're there for a little over
a week, and hitting St. Augustine on the weekend or during the week is ok with us! Would it be better to start a "St. Augustine 2009" thread instead of just resurecting this one? That way casual observers would see that it was for this year and not for last year. I'm trying to surprise Dotty, so I really need to be geting this finalized soon so I can make reservations and let her know that certain dates are not good for her to be doing something.....if you know what I mean. I was originally thinking 1 or 2 nights during the week, just for avoiding the weekenders, but it's ALL fair game as long as there will be friends there!
This oughta be FUN! :yesnod::dancer01:

St. Augustine - 2009

Hey Andy,

Probably during the week is good. I'll talk with Rich to see which days are best. I'm thinking at least two nights (maybe three?) so we have time to see things and just hang out. I'll post a little later today so you can get started with reservations. Go ahead and start a new thread if you want; it might be less confusing.
