St. Augustine, FL - some random impressions.

:wavey:..Hiya guys.

We'll be going the back roads from our house and It takes roughly 2 hours to get there from here. We've gone and taken different routes (I-4 etc) before, but we like the scenic drive better and the other routes can be a biotch!

Anyone who wants to can meet up Here at our Casa and head out, or we could meet up elsewhere (like at the Bellview exit on 75) and head out too.:D

Hey there......

How about ya'll coming up 75 to the exit in Ocala that we took for the Silver Springs show? We could just meet at the Days Inn again and then head out 40 from there. There will be a little traffic in Ocala, but once we hit the outskirts it should be smooth sailing. We could meet around 1 ish, that would give everyone ample time to sleep in and get moving. How does that sound? Let me know. I will scout other routes as well, but this one seems to be the easiest. Take care and have a Happy Thanksgiving.

I guess we're going to be the loners coming down from the northern part of the state.............. Probably will take the back roads, maybe through Palatka.

Well.Sadly we won't beable to make :nonod:,We need tires for the car and we just can't afford to do both,let alone make the drive without them,There is only one room left it is only for Mon.Sorry guy's and gal's,mabe next year,Please drive safely and have a great time for us,take alot of pictures for us also.
 
Awww Classy and I was getting some water saved up just for the trip. But seriously, thanks and we'll all do it again next year.

We thought maybe taking 40 and detouring thru Bunnell to A1A (the coast) and driving it into St Augustine.
How's that sound?

BTW...We need to agree upon a meeting time. Is 1pm still a go?
Taking into consideration it takes about 2 hours to get there from Ocala (depending on traffic), check in is between 3-6pm and the route we might take (if agreed upon) will dump us into Flagler (A1A). Which is about a 30 minute drive to St Augustine.
Does anyone want to get out to stretch and walk the beach in Flagler?

40 Across sounds great and 1 is a good time. As far as walking the beach, whatever the group wants to do. We'll see ya Monday at 1.

I will have to make a fuel stop or 2 I imagine. I'll probably fuel in Ocala then well see from there.
 
OK now boys and girls, don't be pretending you're all ex HEll's Angels and terrorize the town. Leave the city in good enough shape for us humble law abiding folks to visit. I hope you all have a blast and a half. Don't forget to go to eat at Hooked on Harry's for dinner and across the street is a microbrewery which is great for lunch. Ask for the flight of beers and you'll get to taste them all: especially you Ken.
