WTF?....Personally, I don't see what the problem is. Mr. Smarty Pants wouldn't Leave when asked, resisted arrest, was warned that if he didn't allow police to do their job he'd be Taseres. Then he continues to whine like a little girl, keeps resisting arrest, pleading for them NOT to Taser him...and is Tasered. He could have avoided all of this if he had Just STOPPED!!!
BTW...I like the fact that he disrupted John's speech!!:dancer01:

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - It wasn't pretty, but it may have been justifiable. The force used to subdue a University of Florida student with a Taser weapon at a Monday night forum with former presidential c...

:rofl1:saw it a few days back on another site. I have mixed emotions about the whole incident and I can see potential problems for the university.

The student overstayed his welcome. He apparently (from news reports) kept talking and asking questions long after his time alloted had expired. He had to be removed and resisted the efforts initially. You can't just let him run around hopping around like Peter freakin' Pan through the crowd. He creates a minimal danger to the other students, a "potential" danger to the speaker, and certainly doesn't do much to maintain the calm and decorum a forum like that should expect.

Then he resists the efforts of multiple campus cops to escort him out of the room and only says he'll walk out after they decide to take him down and/or taser him (freakin' great timing there boy!:hehehe:).

Then again, I think I'd have either tasered him long before he had the time to create that much havoc or used the number of officers to excort him out much quicker.

My issue is with the officers tactics. They sucked. Too many hands in the fire and not enough decision. Either take him outside, down or taser him, but stop playing with him!

I agree...It seems like every time there's an issue with anyone, law enforcement "Blankets" the individual with an over powering number of officers
and then you have too many people, where as it makes it Harder to :grd:.

I, like a lot of you have seen it and experienced it first hand. It can get Crazy:crazy03: really quick!!!
What I don't like is all of the Monday Morning Lawyers (Quarterbacks) picking apart their actions (the Leo's). The ONLY one here that was "Hurt" was the Idiot. If someone else got hurt, they would be singing a different tune altogether!!!

Yep!

That little whiny ass needed a serious ass kicking for sure. The lawyers can join him too. :rofl1::rofl1:

I've never been an LEO but I can't believe that 6 officers couldn't get this guy out of the building without tasering him. Who was he, Rodney King? The guy may be from the shallow end of the gene pool, but 6 officers + a taser = too much for any 1 person. LEO's, don't get me wrong. Resisting arrest is wrong and should be dealt with but too much is too much.

Well Mark, I don't think it was a matter of they Couldn't remove him, Hell Rob could do that:hehehe:. It was a matter of doing it in such a way whereas he wouldn't get hurt, and a law suit wouldn't follow shortly thereafter. Face it, it's a lawsuit happy world!!!

Tasering is the only way Not to do bodily harm while trying to get an individual to Conform to your way of thinking!...JMHO.

JAT....This A-hole reminds me of one of them Sh!t talkers on the street that'll hide behind the Law when it suits them. But when it's HIM breaking the law...Its a Law Suit waiting to happen!...IMO.

Well, I agree and thats exactly what I was alluding to in the above post. You either uses minimal officer involvment and taser the fool, or use everyone and just pick him up and drag him outside.

Please understand, that I blame a majority of the response on the administration and the current trend in L/E to be politically correct.

Especially with a political candidate present, you want to show as much restraint as possible; however, once it was obvious that this mouthy little bastitch was not going to go peacefully or of his own volition, I'd have jacked him up and dragged him out kicking and screaming.

Did you happen to notice all the officers not really participating, but generally just trying to "corral" him?

Thats BS:thumbsdown:

Hands on firmly, subdued and out the door....gone in 30 seconds:thumbsup:

I dont really feel bad for him getting tazered, he was acting like a little female dog, but i mean there was like 6 cops each one of them was much bigger then him, even the girls, and im sure one of them could have easily over powered him, with 6 of them they should not have had to use the tazer to keep him under control... it seems like cops are using the tazer a lot more these days, in my school atleast one kids gets tazered a week, ive seen a few that were told to get on the ground, got on the ground and were just asking questions and the cop got mad and is like shut up and they kept asking questions then he tazers them, i dont think they should get tazered for talking and asking question, he got on the ground and did everything he was told to do (kid at school, ont the one n the video)... but that kid n the video he looked like he was high on sumthin lol he was a little strange

BRO ????? How long has he been in school the 70 s. the dumb azz needs a lawsuit to make a living ,thay needed to tazz John and shoot him .

Kind of have mixed feelings about this one. On one hand you have the rights of everyone to not have to put up with an idiot who doesn't know when it is time to shut up and sit down. But on the other hand, where does that line exist that says when YOU must shut up and sit down simply because someone else demands that you do so? In some political arenas, the best way to avoid the tough questions is by simply not allowing them to be asked.
