Wassup!!!
:wavey: ..My wife (Tx momma) wants to put a BORLA cat back system on her 2000 C5 Mn6. She Wants the Quad tips with an Aggressive Rumble while at idle, and a nice take off/wot attention getting sound. Basically a 2,3,1or2 set up on the rating chart. NOTE: She does NOT want drone while cruising (at least no more than what my Magnapack system produces) .

Question(s)...**In the link above, are those Borla STINGERS and do they come in Quad tips? I think they do.:yesnod:

**I have found them for $1099.99 from Mid America Motorworks, But i'm uncertain if they're quad's. Anyone know where I can get them cheaper?
** Also, I'm looking for a place to have them installed (at one of the forum sponsors shops down south).

JAN...We're looking at having Both Vette's Dyno tuned (and maybe more) the same day. If you want to PM me to discuss any or all of this, Feel free  I'm not much into "on the spot" phone conversations (at first).:shrug01: Also, beware, i'm NOT a gear head!:bigear:

And maybe More? Translated...Means i'm looking for more POWER for my 2005 C6 A4.
So, who can "Hook a Brutha Up"?:D

BTW...As some of you know, We had discussed selling her Vette and upgrading me :D to another, but after seriously discussing it, we feel like MODDING will be more FUN and cost effective!!!

Uh oh...... Ray's got the "mod bug"..... :hide:
:yesnod:

I was actually looking at possibly going the STS route. But I have issues with separating $8+ k from our bank account at the moment!:shrug01:
Oh well.

Hey Ray, have fun. Mod fever can be contagious, though. Angel may just "out mod" ya while you're not lookin!! :D

Ray,

I went through the same thing you are going through when I was looking for a new exhaust for my '01 Vert. I wanted something that was a little more agressive at idle, I also wanted something that was really noticeable at WOT, but I DEFINITELY did not want to have the drone inside the cockpit during cruising. So, I would suggest that you take your time investigating and don't just jump at any exhaust system.

For the most part, you are going to find that everyone loves the system that they currently own. Take the time to ride in current cars and see exactly for yourself before you make a decision.

I selected the Corsa Indy Pace Car for my '01. It definitely has a more agressive sound at idle, it really sounds nice at WOT, but it does not drone at cruising speeds. If someone in your area does not have a Corsa Indy setup that you can drive in and get a first hand impression, you are more than welcome to take a ride in mine. I will be back in Florida in about two weeks.

Here is a picture of the exhaust tips. This picture was from a thread a long time ago about license plates, but you can see the Pro tips that we selected.

Wow, Those look SHARP!!!

Thanks Rich!

We have Borla Stingers with quad tip ovals. I need to update my profile pics. I am a woman and I love them. They are loud, but not too loud. There is some drone but not not enough to be annoying. I chose Borla's when we were listening to all the cars at the Eckler's show in the spring. I like deep and throaty ; )

Both Vicki and I love the Quad Bullets. The only difference I noticed inside is around 35 mph. I had the install done at Anti Venom. Greg also installed a Magnaflow X-pipe which I believe helps. I need to get with Joe since he put Bullets on his and do a little comparison. I believe he put Stingers on Debs Vette.

You can take a ride in my C6 , i have the B&B route66's. They dont drone at highway speeds, but there is some drone in city driving when the engine is under load.

I plan on doing headers soon, so dont know how they will sound then.

Funny, Although I visited the Borla Vendor, I never got to hear anyone's Borla's while there. I did however, for those who asked, Crank up my Magnapack's and let'em SING:dancer01: For their listening pleasure!

Well, I put it out there (via this thread) and have yet to converse with any of our vendors.?? :nonod:
My shopping list and installs etc include, but isn't limited to...
Definite stuff:
Borla's (cat back with X-pipe) for Angel's 2000 C5.
Dyno's for both her C5 and my C6.
Brake pads etc (ceramic) for my C6.
Possibilities:
A CAI and Possibly Coated Headers Or a Cam pkg.for myC6 (I'm Not Sure).:shrug01:
