Shadow, did the wonderful people at Mandalay Grill say anything about setting aside a specific area for the Vettes to park in? I know that some people are very cautious in where they park, and if it's "park where you find a space", maybe those people will elect to come in an "other than a Vette" vehicle. Just curious.......

I didn't ask Andy.
I knew that several of the folks were planning on bringing other vehicles due to kids or thiers not running (or non-existent), so I didn't bother them with that. I will slide by there over the weekend or Monday and see what the set up is like.
I'll talk to the manger and get a firm feeling for the place.
Try to take a few pics and report back:D

As the weather get's nicer, I'm going to try to plan a few more outings for the group.
Probably with the help of our most excellent trip planner and tour guide Mark (THOR):D:thumbsup:(oh, you didn't know that Mark?):rofl1: we're going to do some more stops along the Manatee/Sarasota beaches:dancer01:

Jack could set us up with a tour of the space center. That's just for starters. Beautiful scenery, great restaurants and a vibrant (at times) night life in some places.

UH OH! When Gordon is nice, he wants something. OK, Bring on the beach tour. Actually there is a great tour we did last year through Myakka State Park and I had had mulitple stops to allow for visits at winery, ranger lookout at 110 ft., airboat ride to see gators, etc. and driving the twisty roads of East manatee County. The Corvette Anonymous folks want to do this again and I din't see any reason why Corvette Florida folks couldn't join us too. We could talk about this at the lunch gathering next weekend. :thumbsup:

MAN........THAT WAS ONE NICE CRUISE! Dotty and I went to 4 places that we had never been before, and enjoyed all 4.
Myakka State Park for an airboat ride and a picnic lunch, http://www.myakkariver.org/
a tour of a winery, http://www.fiorelliwinery.com/
a hydroponic gardening farm http://www.hydrotaste.com/
and a wonderful restaurant that Dotty and I enjoyed, but Mark will have to help me out with the name......CRS in action folks!
If this cruise takes place again whenever we're back in the area, WE ARE SOOOOO THERE! If you want to spend a great afternoon with some wonderful people, have a bunch of fun, see some places that you may not have seen before, and end the day with a great meal, sign up for this one guys!

Thanks Andy for the compliment. We ended the cruise at Mattison's on the Manatee River in downtown Bradenton. It really was an awesome day. Glad we didn't have to swim with the 15 ft. gators. :lmao::thumbsup:

That's a fact.
We do the majority of our Airboat SAR training on the Little Manatee River.
When I was certifying, it was Gator Mating Season.....damned things were everywhere...horny and unhappy with the intrusion:eek::lmao:
