I guess I just don't understand the whole thing. Why would someone want to LEAVE their country just to try to make this one the same way? If you want to bring your culture, habits, customs, and political system, why not just stay where you were? Why leave there in the first place? If you ARE successful in changing THIS country into YOURS, where are you going to go off to next when you feel the need to escape again?

Mexicans are basically risking life and limb to cross the border illegally to get here. Why do that if they want both sides of the border to be exactly the same? If you are happy with your culture, then just stay home and try to change what is wrong THERE instead of bringing it HERE. You can't have your cake and eat it too. If you want Mexico, then stay a Mexican IN Mexico. But if you want to come to America, then BECOME an American when you get here.

As for this amnesty stuff and basically rewarding the persistent ones who finally made it illegally into this country, what the heck is up with that? It's pretty much the same as rewarding a persistent bank robber by finally allowing him to keep the money. Now, just exactly what sort of effect do you think other aspiring bank robbers are going to get seeing how successful THAT one was with his new life? What are their attitudes going to be about all of the OTHER laws here in America? Duh............... :banghead:
